Pen Repair L's Montblanc Edition

Pen Repair L's Montblanc Edition

In this blog series, I will be showing you my pen repair failures so you don't have to, and, oh boy we have a doozy today. As usual all opinions are my own and do not reflect the opinion of Ishin Pens though I'm the only one working here.

Sigh... I don't know which one is worse, my fountian pen repair Ls or my inability to read the room leading to my Ls trying to find a date.

I recieved a lot of four Montblanc 149s not too long ago, and managed to get the pistons of 3 of them to work smoothly. I couldn't get the piston in the last one to work. Trying to twist the knob to get the piston to work, I heard a clicking noise and saw that the entire piston unit had started to come out.

A week later and after being scammed into buying two tools for Montblancs (one of them being of questionable use) off a Chinese online retailer that will go unnamed. I managed to drive the piston home after unintentionally scraping a bit of the piston unit's plastic out. Unfortunately, I drove the unit too far, and, CLICK, the piston housing broke in two.

I may or may not have been very pissed off at the time.

Oh, if anyone is going to the Vancouver Pen Club meeting at the Vancouver Pen Shop on Saturday, August 22nd, I might be willing to part with some of my Montblanc 149s.
